Stronger Schools, Stronger Community: Building Conway's Future Together
Conway is more than just a city—it’s our community. When our schools thrive, our neighborhoods flourish, businesses grow, and families feel confident that their children are getting the education they deserve.
But strong schools don’t happen by accident. They require investment, engagement, and leadership that listens. Right now, we have an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between Conway Public Schools and the families, teachers, and students who depend on them.
The Heartbeat of Conway: Our Schools
Conway Public Schools isn’t just a district—it’s the backbone of our community. Whether it’s Friday night lights, robotics competitions, theater productions, Trunk or Treat, Sneaker Balls, or PTO meetings…our schools bring us together.
But supporting our schools has to go beyond just showing up for events. It means ensuring parents and community members have a real voice in decision-making, that schools have the resources they need, and that students have every opportunity to succeed—regardless of their path after graduation.
-
Parents shouldn’t have to dig through meeting minutes just to know what’s happening in their child’s school. We need clearer communication, accessible updates, and real opportunities for input—not just one-way announcements.
Schools thrive when families feel connected—but that connection needs to be more than just fundraising letters and automated calls.
-
Conway has one of the best public school districts in Arkansas, but we can’t take that for granted. Investing in our schools means investing in Conway’s future workforce, homeowners, and community leaders.
Stronger schools mean higher property values, more local business investments, and a community people want to be part of.
-
Let’s be honest: there’s nothing that brings this town together like the Wampus Cats. But being a Wampus Cat means more than just wearing blue on game day—it means supporting students, teachers, and families every single day.
I want to expand partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and alumni to ensure every student—whether college-bound, career-focused, or still figuring it out—feels supported in Conway Public Schools.
Expanding Opportunities for Every Student
Not every student wants or needs a traditional four-year college path—and that’s okay. Our job as a public school system is to ensure that every student—no matter their goals—has a future they’re prepared for.
-
Not every student plans to attend college, and that’s not a failure—it’s a choice.
Conway Public Schools already offers Career & Technical Education (CTE) pathways, but we need to expand access and awareness to ensure students know their options.
More partnerships with local businesses, trade programs, and apprenticeship opportunities will ensure students graduate with real-world skills and job prospects.
-
The best way to keep public schools strong in the face of vouchers and school choice programs is to make Conway Public Schools the best option.
Expanding clubs, student organizations, and extracurricular activities ensures that every student has a place to belong—whether they’re an athlete, an artist, a future entrepreneur, or a robotics champion.
Schools should be a place where students are excited to be, not just required to be.
-
School safety isn’t just about security—it’s about making sure every student has the support they need to succeed.
We need to invest in mental health resources, school counselors, and student services so that kids don’t just graduate—they thrive.
Parents shouldn’t feel like they have to constantly monitor board meetings or dig through district reports to know whether their kids are in a safe, well-supported learning environment. That transparency should be standard.
A Commitment to Stronger Schools & a Stronger Conway
At the end of the day, our public schools are a reflection of our community. They should be strong, well-supported, and preparing students for the world ahead.
More communication, less confusion.
More opportunities for students, fewer unnecessary obstacles.
More investment in the future of Conway Public Schools.
