Empowering Educators, Enriching Minds: Strengthening Conway's Schools Together

Teachers are the foundation of strong schools, and when we support them, we invest in the success of our students and our community. Educators in Conway should have the resources, respect, and support they need to provide every child with a high-quality education.

As a public education advocate and engaged community member, I am committed to ensuring Conway teachers are empowered to teach, innovate, and thrive—without unnecessary barriers.

    • Teachers should not have to struggle financially to do the job they love. Competitive salaries are essential to retaining top talent and preventing burnout in our schools.

    • I will advocate for regular salary evaluations and strategic pay increases that keep Conway competitive with neighboring districts.

    • Teachers shouldn’t have to buy their own supplies—we need to ensure every classroom is fully equipped for success.

    • Investing in ongoing professional development ensures educators have the tools and training they need to adapt to changing student needs.

    • How often do our kids come home with another fundraiser, another order form, another packet of chocolate bars to sell?

    • I respect the hustle, but at some point, we have to ask—why are 12-year-olds running full-scale fundraising campaigns just to get the basics in their classrooms?

    • Schools should never have to rely on constant fundraising just to provide essential learning materials—funding education should not be a student’s part-time job.

    • Too often, teachers’ voices are missing from decisions that directly impact them.

    • I support creating structured input opportunities where teachers have a direct line to the School Board regarding policies, curriculum, and funding priorities.

Investing in Teachers = Investing in Students

    • A strong public school system works for all students—those excelling, those who need extra help, and those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans.

    • Ensuring teachers, counselors, specialists, and School Resource Officers have the resources and flexibility to meet every child's needs isn’t a luxury—it’s the bare minimum we should expect.

    • Not every student chooses a college path, and that’s perfectly okay. We must provide robust Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs to prepare students for various careers.

    • Conway Public Schools, through the Conway Area Career Center, offers CTE pathways in fields like welding, drafting, and collision repair technology. These programs equip students with practical skills for the workforce.

    • I am committed to expanding these programs, ensuring they remain relevant and accessible to all students.

    • Extracurricular activities, including clubs and organizations, play a vital role in student development.

    • I will advocate for a broader range of extracurricular options to engage students with diverse interests, making Conway Public Schools more enticing and supportive for every student.

    • The Arkansas LEARNS Act introduces Educational Freedom Accounts, allowing families to redirect public funds to private schooling options.

    • Public schools should remain a top choice for families. To achieve this, we must ensure they are well-funded, competitive, and continuously improving. Strong public schools benefit the entire community by providing high-quality education for all students.

    • By enhancing our programs and offerings, we can provide compelling reasons for families to choose Conway Public Schools, ensuring that public education continues to thrive.

    • Every student deserves to learn in a well-maintained environment with access to modern technology, up-to-date materials, and strong student support services.

    • I will advocate for funding that prioritizes safe school buildings, updated learning tools, and student mental health support.

    • Teachers should be focused on teaching, not excessive administrative burdens.

    • I support streamlining paperwork and unnecessary mandates that take time away from instruction.

    • Strong schools are the backbone of a thriving Conway.

    • I support increased collaboration with local businesses, colleges, and organizations to expand opportunities for career readiness, internships, and STEM programs for our students.
